Alcohol Addiction Aftercare Program
Table of Contents
Recovering from chronic alcoholism is a journey that lasts a lifetime. If you’re an alcoholic, the first step towards recovery is admitting you have an addiction. Many addicts often try to conceal their signs of a drinking problem, so recognizing your dependence is often a huge hurdle. After coming to terms with your alcohol addiction, your next step is to receive treatment.
Receiving drug and alcohol addiction treatment in our medical detox center and luxury rehab center is a giant step towards recovery but not the means to an end. Many recovering addicts choose to live in one of our sober living homes after their time in our luxury drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Not only that, but individuals need ongoing therapy to maintain healthy coping mechanisms, avoid triggers, and continue healing the wounds caused by their addiction.
Here at United Recovery Project, we offer highly effective aftercare programs that empower clients to stay on the path and avoid relapse. Our goal is to see you embark on the path of lifelong recovery after your time at our alcohol detox center, rehab, and sober living home.
So, what does life look like after substance abuse detox programs and luxury addiction treatment?
Sober Living Homes
The benefits of sober living homes are endless. Clients can choose to live in one of our sober living homes after alcohol rehab. These substance-free homes provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where individuals can comfortably transition back into everyday life. Best of all, our clients have the flexibility to stay at our sober living homes longer than initially intended if they feel they need extra time to get back on their feet.
We go above and beyond to ensure that residents have a positive experience in our sober living homes, starting with a customized treatment plan from the get-go. We maintain same-sex facilities that enable recovering addicts to thrive and continue their recovery journey in an environment free of distractions. The clinical director assigns each client a therapist, allowing them to continue receiving the necessary support to cope with their addiction and navigate the water of their sober life.
Our sober living homes have standard ground rules that promote sobriety and overall wellbeing. These rules include curfews and random drug screenings, to name a few. Additionally, we screen each resident to ensure they’re motivated to stay sober and make strides toward success in our sober living home.
Ongoing Therapy
Our luxury addiction treatment program offers various healing therapies that promote physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Recovering addicts should continue to attend individual and group therapy sessions after their time in rehab. Many experts suggest attending weekly and gradually reducing the therapy sessions to bi-weekly and then monthly. Regular therapy is even more vital for recovering addicts who also have a diagnosed mental health disorder.
Common therapies include:
- Art therapy
- Music therapy
- Motivational therapy
- Nutrition therapy
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
Alumni Program
As part of our alumni program, we host frequent events where addicts and recovering addicts can network and share words of encouragement. Our alumni program events are safe spaces where individuals can ask questions and seek advice without judgment. Not only that, but we invite guest speakers to share their recovery stories to inspire and motivate program participants. We wholeheartedly believe that our alumni program is critical to promoting lifelong sobriety through a community of like-minded individuals who share a common goal.
Life After Rehab
Leaving rehab is a step in your recovery journey – not the end. You’ll have to confront everyday life with a new mindset and use healthy coping mechanisms that you learned in substance abuse treatment. There are times where you’ll feel the urge to drink again, but it’s essential to remember your end goal: sobriety. If you ever find yourself succumbing to your temptations experiencing alcoholism symptoms, you’re always welcome to come back to United Recovery Project. We’re proud to maintain an open-door policy that promotes our clients’ long-term success.
