Alcohol Detox Program

Here at United Recovery Project, we have a medical detox center and holistic alternative. All our patients begin their recovery journey by detoxing their bodies from alcohol and drugs. Detox is often a difficult first step for addicts, as they may experience a handful of distressing withdrawal symptoms. Our goal is to provide a luxurious and healing detox environment where patients can flush out toxins while minimizing the symptoms of withdrawal. Everyone who enters our detox program receives a customized treatment plan to accommodate their addiction and enhance their experience and well-being while removing toxins from their body.
What’s The Purpose Of Detox?
Detox is a crucial part of the recovery process and a prerequisite for our luxury drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. The purpose of detox is to eliminate or “flush” alcohol and drugs from your body after it has become physically dependent upon the substances. You can’t enter drug and alcohol rehab without first quitting drugs and alcohol cold-turkey. However, don’t cringe when you hear the term “cold-turkey.” Our detox professionals administer medications and provide holistic care to ease withdrawal’s often terrible side effects. Many patients see their symptoms subside within a few weeks, depending on the severity of their addiction. Nevertheless, withdrawal symptoms are unpredictable, and that’s why it’s so important to detox in the hands of professionals.
How Do You Know If You Need To Detox?
Have you ever gone a day or two without alcohol and felt awful? If so, your body is likely dependent upon alcohol and needs it to function. You’ll experience common withdrawal symptoms without alcohol, such as increased anxiety, sweating, insomnia, and migraines. These symptoms are all tell-tale signs of a drinking problem. When you stop drinking cold turkey, you risk experiencing severe side effects. You shouldn’t attempt to detox at home because you don’t know how your body will respond to withdrawal.
Even if you don’t experience chronic alcoholism, you can still experience nasty side effects as an alcoholic. These alcoholism symptoms can begin as soon as 12 hours after your last drink – and that’s when you might be tempted to drink again to get the “fix” that your body needs. If you can’t curb your drinking habit without experiencing the ill effects of withdrawal, then we recommend entering our alcohol detox center.

We realize that detox is one of the most challenging stages of the detox process – the stage where you break away from substances that have controlled most facets of your life. You may experience severe emotional pain and trauma as you put your dependencies behind you. Our skilled professionals are available 24/7 to help you overcome the challenges of detoxing from a once essential substance to your everyday life.
Types Of Substance Abuse Detox Programs
Here at United Recovery Project, we offer a medical and holistic detox program. A medical program is a more traditional route in which patients receive medication to alleviate their withdrawal symptoms. On the other hand, the holistic program encompasses a natural approach that enables patients to heal through fitness, nutrition coaching, spirituality, and addiction therapy sessions. Those who decide to detox through the holistic program still have access to medications to ease their symptoms as needed. Our detox staff provides swift medical support if patients experience complications, diseases, or inflammation.
Life After Detox
The detoxification process is one of the first steps to recovery. After completing the alcohol detox program, patients enter the residential addiction treatment center, intensive outpatient program (IOP), or partial hospitalization program (PHP).
Residential Addiction Treatment Center
Our luxury drug and alcohol rehabilitation center is just minutes away from the coast and offers a serene and healing setting that enables clients to prosper. Clients live on-site and meet with a psychiatrist to develop a customized treatment plan at the beginning of their stay. Recovering addicts participate in one-on-one and group therapy sessions at our luxury rehab center, enjoy weekend activities and attend 12 step meetings.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Clients with mild addictions and substance-free homes often choose our intensive outpatient program. The intensive outpatient program allows clients to receive the same level of support that’s available in our residential addiction treatment center. Recovering addicts participating in the intensive outpatient program block off a few hours each day for family, group, and individual therapy. This program empowers clients to avoid triggers, understand the root causes of their addiction, and develop the skills needed to live a sober life.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
The partial hospitalization program is similar to our residential luxury addiction treatment, but clients don’t stay on-site. Instead, clients go home each day after participating in one-on-one and group drug and alcohol addiction therapy sessions as well as various healing activities. Like the outpatient program, individuals must have a substance-free home so they’re not tempted to use again. This program is ideal for those who don’t need the 24-7 care offered in our residential addiction treatment center.
Does Insurance Pay For Treatment In A Medical Detox Center?
Before you begin your journey at United Recovery Project, we’ll work with you to verify that your insurance carrier covers the cost of addiction treatment. Most providers cover all or some of the costs of drug and alcohol addiction treatment costs, including Anthem BlueCross, Aetna, AmeriHealth, and Humana.
